Tanzania to become the next country to turn to crypto?

Monetary independence is becoming a hot topic across the world’s developing countries. After EL Salvador making Bitcoin legal tender it may be Tanzania’s turn.

Yesterday its President instructed the country’s Central Bank to prepare for wider adoption of crypto around the world, saying that the age of crypto and blockchain was dawning.

The first female President of Tanzania, Samia Suluhu Hassan has already adopted several democratic measures since taking the office in March’21, notably lifting her predecessor’s ban on media. Her stance on cryptocurrencies as the future of money gives even more hope for this 58-million East-African nation.
