13th anniversary of Bitcoin White Paper

It all started with it. Bitcoin whitepaper by Satoshi Nakamoto, whoever he or she or they might be, laid down the foundation for the first ever truly independent and decentralized asset, signing a new era of trustless data handling.

A masterpiece of “mathematical purity”, as Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak put it, Bitcoin theoretical base was published only 13 years ago to an obscure mailing list of cypherpunks and computer geeks, and look where we are now: market cap exceeding $1Tr, burgeoning industry, legal tender in some countries and one of the hot topics for the regulators in the others.

This is a mind-blowing success for a piece of research that is carried only by its enthusiasts. It is also a proof of its genius: when a person really understands how Bitcoin works, they become its fervent supporters, propagating the knowledge further.

Today is the 13th anniversary of Bitcoin Whitepaper, and we are only starting.
