Portugal grants crypto exchange licenses

Portugal is one of the few crypto-friendly countries in Europe, famous notably for 0% tax on gains from non-professional crypto trading (like Switzerland and with some reservations – Germany and Malta). It is also a delightful place to live, which incited many digital and crypto nomads to move there.

Developing crypto business is another point on its agenda: this week the Central Bank of Portugal issued first of a kind crypto exchange licenses to Criptoloja and Mind the Coin exchanges. Would it help Portugal become the next crypto hub?
