75% US-based TikTok users discover new artists through the app. With almost 1 Bn monthly active users, that’s a huge exposure, and now a blockchain-based music streaming platform Audis will have access to it.
Designed to help independent musicians to distribute their music and get paid directly from their fans, Audius has signed a first-of-its-kind partnership with TikTok, allowing its users to upload tracks and share them to the app. The downside is that the musicians won’t get royalties on the usage of their tracks, but they will get exposure and new fans, which is very important too.
That’s a great news for Audius, and we hope this partnership with TikTok could bolster crypto adoption even further.
