Amazon to integrate crypto

Last week Amazon posted a job offering for “Digital Currency and Blockchain Product Lead”, inciting speculations about its possible involvement with crypto. The rumours got stronger last night, when an anonymous source told that Amazon is planning to integrate Bitcoin payments by the end of the year, and probably create its own cryptocurrency too.

The directive, which is said to be coming from Jeff Bezos himself, would make crypto an “integral part of the future mechanism of how Amazon will work”.

With 310M active customers around the world, the message would be strong indeed. This might be one of the reasons Bitcoin price reacted so enthusiastically with a 25% weekly increase.
